303 children 👨👩👧👦 - GG School 🏫 - My destiny 💫
🏫 Of course, as a kid, I didn’t dream: “When I grow up, I’ll build a school.” Kids don’t dream like that ✨. They usually dream about something else. But I believe the Almighty, who invisibly guides us, writes our fate—including on a genetic level 🧬. After all, I’m the son of teachers, and that biological fact probably played a decisive role in shaping my life’s path. It was embedded in me by my ancestors 🙏. So it happened that I built a monument for my future generations.
“Jiji” is my personal hearth, where about 300 of my little fellow countrymen don’t just get an education—they’re shaped here into worthy members of society, absorbing our ancestors’ traditions and mastering life’s formulas for the future 📚.
I don’t know how to explain to friends, comrades, relatives, and loved ones—everyone who asks: “Why do you need this?”—the emotions I feel. It’s impossible to convey that sensation when you hear the noise of children during recess, their shouts in the yard, see their joy and delight at the sight of me—and all this in your own home ❤️.
How do you explain or convey that love, when your home is filled every day, from morning till evening, with so many children? They grow right before your eyes—so fast 👣. It feels like just yesterday they ran into first grade—and in an instant, boys have stubble, girls hide their makeup, embarrassed…
I thank the Creator of my fate for my three wonderful children at home, and for the 300 students at GG-School, who have also become “family” 👨👩👧👦.
When people ask: “How many children do you have?”—I naturally reply: “303.”
…And that number is infinite ♾️—it grows every year. And it will keep growing after me, for generations to come…

Our School
🏛️ "Jiji" (GG) was founded on September 20, 2011.
GG was established on the site of the former Secondary School №7 in Zugdidi (Western Georgia, a city bordering Abkhazia).
Following reconstruction and expansion, the total building area tripled and now stands at 3,416.58 square meters.
GG is an investment project by Mr. Dmitry Gurtskoy, residing abroad and working in the field of education. All obligations outlined in the agreement with the Government of Georgia have been fully fulfilled.
GG launched its educational activities in the 2013–2014 academic year, preceded by:
✅ Completion of construction and rehabilitation works
✅ Official commissioning of the facility
✅ Receipt of accreditation
✨ The Story Behind the Name — Why GG?
Our name embodies respect and family values. For the founder, it was essential that the school honor his father — Alexander Gurtskaya, Honored teacher of Georgia.
Several name options were considered: "Tsignieri" ("Bookish"), "Pirveli" ("First"), "Gelati", "Gurtskaya Gymnasium", and others…
The preferred choice was "Gurtskaya Gymnasium." It was precisely the initials of this name — GG!
This short, pleasant-sounding word was first adopted by the construction team, then warmly embraced by the children, who carried it throughout the city. After that, choosing another name no longer made sense — and today, there is no need to change it, as "GG" has become an inseparable part of the school's identity. Children say with joy and warmth: "I want to go to GG" — and this is exactly the feeling we strive to create. 💙
💭 Interesting Theories About the Name's Origin
GG is now a recognized brand, yet many charming stories surround its origin. One popular belief holds that the name comes from the Megrelian word "jiji", meaning "elder uncle" — specifically, the brother of one's grandfather.
While this interpretation isn't linguistically accurate, we gladly welcome this association too: 🤍 After all, a school is a second family, and our teachers and founder serve as caring mentors to the next generation.
… And if "Jiji" evokes warmth, care, and the reliability of an "elder uncle" for someone — we celebrate that. Let this story live on! 😊
